2 cheating FIRs filed against realty group
Chandigarh: The economic offences wing (EOW) of UT police registered two separate FIRs against a real estate company for duping people of around Rs 2 crore on the pretext of investing in their project. No arrest has been made in the case so far.

The complainants, Vikrant Gupta, Raghawendra, Manju Rani, and Pankaj Aro-ra, alleged that the builder cheated them of Rs 1.1 crore on the pretext of making an investment in a project. The complainants made a complaint at SSP public window in Nov 2024. The complaint was forwarded to EOW. After verifying the facts, EOW registered a case under the relevant sections of BNS and started a probe. EOW registered one more cheating case against the group. The complainant, Pinki Rani, alleged she invested Rs 69 lakh for office space in the project, but it never materialised. Inspector Shiv Charan of EOW is investigating both the cases.
