CAT Tribunal Chandigarh or better known as Central Administrative Tribunal has observed against sevice matter cases of PGI who has failed in providing reply to the tribunal on multiple occasions in many cases.

The tribunal further pulled up the authority and sought details of all the cases where reply was not filed.

Facts of the Case:

  1. Court Case was filed by the PGI non-faculty employee union through its president, Ashwani Kumar Munjal.
  2. Instead of being given multiple opportunities, PGI failed to file reply for which court pulled up the officials and asked them in how many of the cases, the reply yet has to be filed by them.
  3. Court then granted them two weeks time to file reply failing which, the erring official would pay cost of Rs. 15000, going to be deposited in the CAT Bar Association fund.
  4. The message is clear to PGI Authorities to comply with court’s order well in time so that the justice is not hindered and the entire judicial process kicks off well in time.

Now let’s wait for PGI to file reply in time or else strict penalties would be enforced by the officials.
