The Supreme Court said that the times has come to put the allocation of time for each arguing counsel in their courts and limit the number of pages in their written submissions to realise the commoner’s dream of right to speedy justice.

While writing the postscript for judgement relating to Delhi’s Assembly notice to Facebook official seeking its appearance before its peace and harmony committee. The Apex court opined that no other constitutional court in any country allows such time periods to be taken for oral submission and these be further supplemented by written submission thereafter. “Instead of restricting oral arguments, it has become a battle arena of who gets to argue the longest remarks the court.”
