Basing on a complaint given by medical officer where it was alleged that a COVID-19 patient has misled them by not informing about his previous test report and also that COVID-19 protocols violation putting other people’s life at risk, case was registered against a person who came back from Delhi.
According to the police, this person is working as a technician at Dharmasila private hospital in New Ashok Nagar of Delhi and resident of Basini village of Safidon town. The police have booked this 29 year-old employee of Delhi hospital, who tested positive for COVID-19 in national capital and he travelled back to Safidon town and concealed this information from the health authorities.
Talking to TOI, Amarjit Singh, investigation officer (IO) in the case, said, “We have received a formal complaint from medical officer Aruna, alleging that the Covid-19 patient misled them and didn’t inform about his previous report. He didn’t follow the Covid-19 protocol and thus put others’ lives at risk, and therefore, action should be taken against him. We have registered a case against the person.”
This person was tested positive on June 24 in Delhi, after which he had visited Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College for Women in Khanpur kalan of Sonipat district where he was allegedly denied admission. After that, he approached districts Safidon government hospital for testing on June 16 and on June 18 his report showed him negative for virus; there he disclosed only travel history of Delhi. The patient in his statement said “I was depressed. I didn’t have any symptoms of the disease and didn’t trustthe report of the hospital. So, I left for Jind and decided to go for another test.”
